Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data Baikou (“we”) collects through baikou.agency, why, and what rights you have. Baikou is based in Clifden, Co. Galway, Ireland, and is not yet registered as a company. We decide how this data is used and are responsible for it. Contact: info@baikou.agency.
What we collect and why
When you ask for a free audit. Your name, email address, website, main market and anything you write in the message. We use it only to prepare your report and reply to you. Legal basis: steps you asked us to take before a possible contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not make sales calls.
When you email us or message us on WhatsApp. Your contact details and what you send, used to answer you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in replying to enquiries (Article 6(1)(f)).
Analytics cookies, only if you click “Accept”. We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages are visited, how people arrive at the site and which pages help them. It uses cookies and records information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser. We do not use advertising cookies, and advertising features are switched off. Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a)). If you click “Reject”, or make no choice, Google Analytics is not loaded: no analytics cookies are set and nothing is sent to Google.

Who processes the data for us
- Our website host and form provider (WordPress and Jetpack, operated by Automattic), which stores form submissions; spam is filtered by Akismet.
- Google, for our email (Google Workspace) and for Google Analytics (only with your consent).
These providers act on our instructions under data processing terms. Some of them may process data outside the European Economic Area; where that happens, they rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. We do not sell your data and do not share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
- Audit requests and enquiries: up to 24 months after our last contact, unless you become a client.
- Client records: as long as Irish law requires, generally 6 years for accounting records.
- Analytics data: up to 14 months in Google Analytics.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to its use, or to move it to another provider. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email info@baikou.agency and we will reply within one month.
If you are not happy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie). If you are in the UK, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
